Summer Sessions - Live DJ Sets on the Rooftop @ Kampai

The Rooftop at Kampai is excited to announce our Summer Sessions schedule for 2025.

“Music is a major part of the Kampai dining experience. We are always looking for the sounds and tracks that will elevate the guest experience,” shared Dan Janjigian, General Manager at Kampai. “Last summer, we started experimenting, bringing live music to the rooftop with popular local DJs. Our focus is serving exceptional food and providing guests with top-level service every single night. So, we wanted to make sure the Summer Sessions enhanced our guests’ experience before making it a regular feature.”

The guests love it.

The rooftop is already a unique dining experience, different from the main dining room downstairs. The entire vibe is built around the Japanese izakaya tradition, which dates back centuries to when sake purveyors and liquor store owners in Japan realized that customers wanted to enjoy their beverages on the premises. These proprietors started adding food and snacks as well as tables and chairs.  

“The Rooftop has its own dedicated kitchen and full bar and inspired our izakaya style menu,” said Janjigian. Its izakaya style menu offers a counterpart to the formality of the main dining room with hot and cold small plate options. Guests still have lots of raw fish options with specialty sashimis, rolls, and handrolls, most of which are unique to the roof. The Summer Sessions are a chance to add something special. “It is all about creating an amazing, laid-back dining experience nightly.”

The Summer Session schedule is a great mix of local DJs who each bring their own style to the Rooftop experience.
