July 24th through 26th, Kampai is featuring Lagrimas tequilas with a custom cocktail, the La Loma Verde.
Thoughtfully crafted cocktails are the perfect match for delicious Japanese dishes. That’s why Kampai scours the globe for the best liquors and ingredients to pair with your favorites. We’re highlighting Lagrimas del Valle Tequila because of its unique approach to tequila. We are all familiar with the way a valley or sea breeze can affect the taste of a grape. This is known as terroir: “every piece of ground is unique and that, based upon its soil, flora, fauna, altitude, and aspect, it will produce a wine that is unique to all other wines produced on other pieces of ground.” Agave, the main ingredient in tequila, is also shaped by the fields and communities where it grows. Largrimas is taking this concept to a new level with vintages produced from a single field. Lagrimas produces vintages from across all five states in Mexico. The connection between these fields is the distillery, located in Tequila Valley. You can trace the origin of your tequila by the name on the bottle. We are featuring 2022 Palo Verde Plata, from Amatitan, Jalisco, in the La Loma Verde.
